NHLA Member League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) hosts its 86th National Convention and Exposition.
NHLA will be presenting a panel on Líderes Latin@s: Promoting Latinos and Latinas in Public Service during LULAC’s National Conference on Thursday, July 9th in Salt Lake City.
The topic of the panel is to discuss Latino political appointments and the underrepresentation of Latinas in elected office. Monica Ramirez, NHLA Women and Public Policy Fellow, will moderate the panel consisting of: Teresa Acuña, Director of Policy and Leadership Programs at NHLA; Nadia Fajood, Senior Manager for Strategic Initiatives at Political Parity; and Representative Angela Romero of the Utah State Legislature.
The event will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 9th from 3:30pm to 4:45pm.
