Collectively, NHLA leads the advocacy behind the pressing civil rights and policy issues impacting the 58 million Latinos living in the United States. At the midway point since issuing its quadrennial Hispanic Public Policy Agenda in 2008, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda assessed the progress made thus far in addressing the major public policy issues facing the Hispanic community nationally across six broad issue areas; Education, Immigration, Government Accountability, Health, Civil Rights and Economic Development.
